Unit 64- Motion Graphics and Compositing Video

During this unit I have come across many chanllenges but with that came advanatges. I have learned many new skills that will be able to help me if i wish to pursue a career in media.

While doing HA1 I found this very difficut to understand due to the fact its to do with Motion graphics and I had never come acorss that term before.Through doing my research I began to understand the meaning of motion graphics and the different types of motion graphics. I enjoyed researching about Pixar and what motion graphic software they use to produce their films. I found it very interesting however alot of the software I read about I didnt understand most of the terms which made it difficult to write about. For exmaple i learned about compositing video and what techniques are used in the process. Thanks to this i cant not watch a video or programme without looking for these techniques used.

HA2 was my favourite part of the unit due to the fact I enjoyed using adobe after effects because it allowed to me to make my own motion graphic which I associated with the new sports accademy. I am very proud of my finished motion graphic because I put alot of effort into making it and really pushed my self to used advanced techniques to obtain a higher grade. While making my motion graphic I came alot of difficukties because I wasent use to using the software and at times I began to get very adjutated using the software. The hardest part of making my motion graphic is when i had to make the man run. These required alot of back and forth of using the same tool which was very tiring.

I also enjoyed creating my motion graphic by creating a storyboard whihc had the different stages of my motion graphics and exactly whats going to happen. By planning my motion graphic before hand this made it alot easier to complete and it also made it quicker. However when planning out my motion graphic I didnt realise how gard some of the techniques would be which made this abit harder for me when actually putting together my sequence.

In conclusion I enjoyed doing both units but at the same time I found it very hard to maintain good timing through out each assignment. This has also taught me how to make better of my time.
